  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2010 Genesis sedan 3.8L rear defroster not working, front parking lights not working, heated seats not working, rear curtain won’t go down unless gear is in reverse (when I switch to drive it comes back up). All relative fuses have been changed. What else could the problem be?

Not enough information here for a Free_Internet_Diagnosis(TM).

Most circuits in cars are composed of 1) power sources, 2) fuses & fuse blocks, 3) wiring, and 4) components. So you can ask yourself:
  • Does system <X> have power?
  • Wiring is good?
  • Fuse Block is good? (not only fuses, but the big bock thing the fuses sit in).
  • Components (logic modules, light bulbs, sensors, etc.) are good?
The answer to your question is "some or all of the above." A competent automotive electrician will be able to give you a proper diagnosis for each system. $250 is reasonable. Some may discount part of their diagnosis fee if they also perform the repair. Sometimes it's easy and cheap, sometimes it's kilobucks.

Looking through my '09 manual, a rear Curtain that works perfectly fine, except for the driver-door-switch, could be the switch or its wiring. There's only one connector in the trunk. Easy to test it all there. Heat seat failure with flashing lights is usually the element in the seat. An automotive upholsterer can probably fix this for a few hundred including seat bottom cover, possibly less if they can re-use the seat cover. Parking lights can be a few things; bulbs good?
