How do I get the hood to stay up so I can change my wiper blades?
Great info, Gunkk. I never knew this. I’ve changed my in situ since new with no issues. You don't. Keep the hood down and closed. <-- important.
Turn key-on (double press start button foot off brake), count to 5, turn key-off (single press). Within 10 or so seconds of Key-off, hold the wiper stalk up in the "mist" position for a few seconds. The wiper blades will move to the service position.
Change your blades.
Next time you put the car back in key-on (or start it), move the wiper control lever to any position and the wipers will move back to their normal positions.
Thank you very much! V.You don't. Keep the hood down and closed. <-- important.
