2010 new model bugs

newbie here. My son is looking at a 2010 3.8 coupe and I just learned that 2010 was the first year. Is this a hyundai or nissan V6? and regarding the engine/trans/car, are their any new model bugs that might push him to spend a little more cash to get the 2011??

I thought I read that the first genesis (2009/10? or maybe Hyundai's earlier 6cyc cars had Nissan engines. couldn't find it when I looked today.

Back in the dizzo Hyundai used Mitsubishi engines in the late eighties through about 1999 depending on the model.

Hyundai built motors since late 90's
