  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi!

I have troubles locating the correct front air suspension strut replacement. Mine gave out (I think one airbag burst, resulting in errors so that both are now fully lowered and the heighten vehicle button no longer does anything).

What complicates things is that I live on the Caribbean island of Aruba and that it appears I have gotten myself a European Genesis Sedan. I am not sure if that is the reason I have difficulty finding the right part, but:

All I can find is these Chinese made aftermarket ones (example). In their list of OEM part numbers it shows mine (54621/54521-3M500). But what puzzles me is that all these aftermarket parts are also advertised as Equus struts. I can not find dedicated (remanufactured) Genesis Sedan struts, but I CAN find them for the Equus (like these), and that brand looks dependable. And the OEM partnumber those Equus struts show is also in the list of the Chinese aftermarket Genesis ones. So the Chinese ones appear to fit both the Genesis and the Equus.

So my question is, would those Equus air suspension struts fit my 2010 Genesis Sedan?

Thanks beforehand for any help!

Alex
