  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Official word is a short in the parking brake module. Out of warranty obviously. Dealer quote is $4400. Part has not failed from overuse, I live in Dallas(flat as can be). Unfortunately part is out of stock and no time estimate for part delivery. HMA consumer affairs dept is offering $1000 as a goodwill gesture. Not enough imo. Cannot obtain the part at NAPA, Pep Boys, Oreilly or Car Part dot com.

Any input is appreciated on how to resolve. Considering all options including getting rid of the car as it cannot pass a Texas safety inspection with a caution light illuminated on the instrument cluster.

Dealer dealer invoice posted if this helps.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
You can get the module itself on line (brand new) for about $1300. Used should be less then $400, but I don't see any. You may be able to find one at a local junkyard.
It may also be possible to find a rebuilder to repair your existing module.
