  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2011 genesis 3.8 sedan. I've had for about 5 years now and Up unto about a month ago my car shut off on me while driving on the highway but still had power. After pushing the car to the side of the road The car did turn on and about a week later the same thing happened but this time the car would only crank over and not start. The car did have error codes of camshaft position sensor in which all 4 have been replaced. I've also had the crankshaft sensor replaced as well and the battery has been charged. Theres plenty of gas in the car. I've replaced the fuel pump about 2 yrs ago and there is fuel running through the value under the hood so I don't think it's the fuel pump. The car wants to turn on but it just won't. Any ideas of what it could be?

Is it doing it all the time or just occasionally? Here are the ignition troubleshooting pages from the 2009 3.8 shop manual.

It's doing it all the time. We haven't been able to get it started. Thank you I'll go through these pages
