  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey all,

I just got a 2011 Genesis 3.8 with 116k miles on it. It hasn't had any documented services to my knowledge recently. I got it from CarMax and have a bumper to bumper warranty until I hit 150k miles, anything I should look for in terms of quarks or common issues to have done before my warranty expires? What kind of service intervals should I do on this car?

Assume nothing. Do you have the manual? If so, I'd look at what is recommended for the 100,000 mile service and do that. If you don't have the manual, you can register your car at www.myhyundai.com and download it.

Take a look at the battery. My guess is it has been replaced in that time. If not, I'd replace it before winter rather than during a blizzard.

Spark plugs should have been replaced. At least pull one out and take a look. If original, replace them. Examine the serpentine belt too.
