2011 genesis 4.6 cruise control

My wife just brought a 2011 Hyundai genesis with 83k on it. It drives very good. When driving it yesterday I notice the esc airbag light is on and the cruise control not coming on. Should there be an issue we need to worry about.

Unless she does highway driving cruise control may not matter to her. The airbag though, may be handy should she hit or get hit on the front end.

Yes you need to get it fixed. Cruise control will not work if ESC is off (among other things).

ESC light = your Stability Control is off. ESC modulates individual wheel brakes as needed to maintain car stability. If there's a fault in the system (wheel speed sensors, brake solenoid actuators or valves in the ABS, HECU, etc.) it will turn off and illuminate the ESC warning light.

Airbag light = your airbags have a problem and may not function in an accident.

Hello just found out the steering angle Sensor is the problem in the car. The dealer wants 3000 to replace the steering column and the angle sensor. I want to know can the steering angle senor can be replace without replacing the whole column.

The angle sensor is behind the clock spring at the steering wheel. Unless it is something else, I cannot see the need to replace the whole steering column. It is part 93480A in this diagram...this is a generic lookup, not specifically for your car.

I would buy the part and just take it to a local mechanic. I only take a car to the dealership if it was still under warranty
