  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have been trying to get naomv update for my 2011 genesis. some people say that
no more updates for genesis 2011 will be issued. Ok, so the car is old. So What kind of
navigation module(system) can I replace the worthless original?
---
I am wondering if I replace the existing gps box with a box from a 2012 (or even 2013-2014)
will Hyundai update the 2012 (or 2013-2014) will hyundai be able to update the newer boxes?
Such information is especially difficult to obtain ! Before I buy a later year box I would like to have good information.

See if you can get an aftermarket device to let you connect either Android Auto or Apple CarPlay to your car infotainment system, then use the fully up to date navigation apps in either platform. I know Amazon sells devices which are pretty much plug and play.

The original will still work for most locations but there are options. I used Garmin before buying a car with built in.
