  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I desperately need to find someone that can "wipe" or provide me with a wiped ECU for my 2011 4.6 Genesis Sedan. It is a the dealer, they purchased a used ecu (with Hyundai's blessing) before realizing that their software allows them to program... but not "wipe". The dealer in Columbus, Georgia is awesome and is wanting to help me solve this problem, so I dont need to throw away a mint car. I have already spoken with Sam Lee. He is awesome. Tried to clone the original ecu... but it was toast.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I am having a very similar issue. They say I need to replace ECU, IDM and PDM from the same vehicle with the same vin#. My genesis is also in great condition with almost no hope for repair. I you find someone that can help please let me know.

So the computer was fried to where he could not clone it?
