2011 Humming in back

Just recently started hearing a humming/buzzing from under the floor/back seats

it is not there on cold start, and doesnt start till ive driven 50 or more miles (give or take) ... gets louder as I continue to drive throughout the day

Once I have driven this far, I can turn the car off, then on restart, it is quite, then kicks back in after about 30-45 seconds

Dealer tech said it was the fuel pump

Anyone with any experience with this?

Well, a slight hum -> slightly louder while driving is what the fuel pump dying in my older 5 series sounded like.

Dealer is probably right. Now what I can't say is when it will fail. Mine failed about 6k miles later and left me somewhat stranded and many things are more fun than waiting 2 hrs for a tow truck.

Well the dealer is having a hard time replicating the noise ... so they are telling me at one point what it is ... then calling me a few hours later saying everything checks out and they cant find a problem

They claim that everything is electric and there are no failures listing for the pump ...

So both sides of their mouth 😔
