  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Was there ever any correct information posted as to if the 2011 4.6 suspension set up was the same as the 2010 4.6 set up? Do we know if any changes were made to the shock or spring settings?

No changes. 2012 will see changes whether it's mostly cosmetic, only drive-line or chassis or all three remains to be seen.

Funny, cosmetic is what won it all those awards aside from it's engine alone.

Oh that and a really nice looking dash, only problem with that is it's plastic aluminum imitation around that ugly shifter cluster and AC Instrument Cluster around the clock.

Needs either a Carbon Fiber Audi/BMW-Like Trim, or the Piano Black Gloss Steinway wood trim to replace them with black buttons and AC Instruments found in the 2012 Equus, other than that, that actual positioning of it doesn't need to change one bit. By far the best looking interior I've seen in a long time, as well as it's exterior details, though their dimensions need to make the car larger with it's wheelbase, width, length, and height. Probably should scrap the equus and make the Genesis sedan the same size with that new 5.0 8-Speed coming.

Only performance changers are needed, no exterior cosmetic details need to change, it would be a big mistake if they did. Thanks to Former GM ( garbage modeler ) Chief Exterior Design Phil Zak from GM who replaced the Genesis designer Joel who did the Exterior design for the award winning genesis. He works for ford now !

Familiar looking taurus and other ford vehicles

Hyundai does not seem to publish details of running changes, but running changes they do make. I had a 2009 with late May 2009 build date. I believe this 2009 had the first major suspension running change, which was introduced in early April 2009.
I was not completely happy with my 2009's suspension. It seemed a bit soft in quick lane transitions and rear shocks seemed to need more rebound. These were little issues. My personal preferences are more towards a BMW-like ride than a Lexus-ride. I did change sway bar bushings on the 2009 from the comparatively soft OEM to much firmer poly bushings from Energy Suspension. I liked the change and had over 30,0000 miles with no issues.
My 2011 (build date Sept 2010) is much more refined, and closer to BMW-ride. Ride is still firm. My dealer has said that Hyundai has made a number of unannounced running changes to the suspension. One change I can confirm, as I measured it, is to the front sway bar. Formerly, it measured 25mm in diameter. Now it is 30mm.
