  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2012 5.0

19" wheels on R Spec, 18" wheels on the 5.0 Sedan.

Stiffer suspension on the R Spec than the sedan.

I have a 2012 5.0 and find it to be a smoother ride than the R Spec by a fair amount.

Thank you guys !!! So really just the wheels

Hate to see you left with an inaccurate impression, so here you go:

The 5.0 can be optioned with premium or tech packages, like the 4.6 of the same year (2012).

The R-Spec comes with the Tech package as standard, 19 wheels, dark chrome headlight inserts, larger breaks, calibrated steering wheel, tweaked suspension , thicker rear anti roll bar, R-Spec floor mats and of course The R-Spec trunk badge..:D

Also wasn't the 5.0 sedan rated 395 hp and port injected while the r-spec was listed at 429 hp and direct injected?

I am pretty sure that is not the case.

For the 2012, the 3.8 was rated at 333hp (upgraded to GDI), the 4.6 was 385hp (MPI carryover from 2010), both the 5.0 and R-Spec had the same engine and both where rated at 429hp (GDI).
