  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just got this 2012 Hyundai Genesis Sedan 3.8. The break light was coming on and off intermently. Took it to the dealer and they think issue is related to the harness because there are burnt wires. The issue seems to be something not adding up the technician said The break light is coming on and off intermently. Anyone had this issue before and know how to get it fixed ?

There is no need to make three threads about this.
I assume that you really mean your brake warning light.

No, I can't see your car from here. Either the brake warning wire is intermittently shorting to ground, your brake fluid level sensor is defective (I am assuming you checked the level), or your parking brake switch is bad. Since they say the wiring is burnt, it sounds like some serious problem happened, and that wire probably has some insulation burned off and is shorting out. Do you have other problems?
Is the dealer unwilling or unable to repair the burnt wires, or did you refuse the repair?

Not sure what there willing to do at the moment, and yes the brake fluid level was checked already, the break switch was fixed and that still didn't fix the issue, dealer is not sure whether fixiing the harness will fix the issue .
