2012 R-Spec Surround Sound

Searched and can't find an answer.
Has the surround sound setting not staying on issue been corrected for the 2012's yet? Can it be fixed with software and not a new head unit? If so, does anyone know the TSB #?

This is hard for me to answer. I had my Nav updated and the "unchecking" surround issue was gone. However my system bricked during the update and had to be replaced so I can't say that the upgrade fixed the problem or the switched head unit.
