  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What's new on this facelift?
http://www.bobaedream.co.kr/board/bulletin/view.php?code=national&No=479467&bm=1
Full color LCD
new shifter design
new wheel design
new smart key design
bluelink (KDM)
Lexicon (wasn't standard option on KDM)
Rear automatic side curtain
Full color HUD!!!

I think it looks much better, specially the interior.

Interior is looking nice

Looks like the 10 SP transmission and the LCD SCREEN speedo/tach, info screen to be in 2014 GENESIS

That is definitely not the 2013 being sold in the US. Mine has a grille more like a Genesis and those are not the wheels on mineand my itnterior is slightly different. I did see a couple on the lot with that hood ornament but I think they were on used ones (older than 2013) and were dealer added. One supposedly had been driven by Rick Case's wife. I think it was an Ultimate. The salesman told me she no longer wanted the Ultimate because it could only accommodate a total of four people.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

Lincoln, Buick, Jag (Infiniti and Lexus on some models) - take your pick.

Luxury grills pretty much have vertical slatted grills or horizontal slatted grills (the 3rd option is to go for a mesh-type grill for a more sportier look).

The KDM Equus always had the vertical slatted grill.

Big improvement on the interior than that of the US model. Few cars offer LCD instrument cluster regardless of price range. The seats look better. The DIS screen looks more recessed and that might help with sun light washout on a bright day. The shift knob looks great, I don't care if it's a copy or not. The center arm rest appears bigger and more elegant than what we now have here. There is a video on youtube for this version shot in Korea. It shows a button for blind spot monitor. Don't know if it can stop the car (in low speed) automatically if the driver neglects to use the brakes. 2013 Lexus LS 460 offers this as an option for about $5000. The LED headlights/fogs are a lot more attractive than the current HID/halogen. Again, Lexus offers that as an $1450 option for its 2013 LS. I hope DOT approves Hyundai's LED headlight so it can be on US models as well. All in all, I didn't see anything in this KDM version inferior to the current US version. So my guess is that it will come to the US in the future if Hyundai wants to compete with Lexus or the German brands.

I like the impeller style wheels, headlights are cool too. Inside is a big improvement IMHO. The dash/center console on the Equus never did it for me, I always thought the Genesis had the nicer dash...the current Equus dash reminds me of something you'd find in an F-150 with all it's bulky surfaces.

Also, I don't get the purpose of the LCD guages here. From the official renderings, it looks like it always shows you the basic guages (speedo, tach, fuel and temp) with different parts in the middle. Sure you can change the colors:rolleyes: But might as well just have a smaller central LCD. This looks like a feature just for the sake of "keep up with the Jones". On a Cadillac, S-class or Range Rover you can put alternate information here to truly customize. Heck, even the MyFordTouch systems show more.

The most interesting thing about it is the gear knob without the shifter AND the heads up display on the dash with the speed. THAT is cool.
