  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Gentlemen,
I was just driving my Equus and my ECS light came on and the front end is dropped now. For both side to go down like that could it be the pump or did both sides just happen to go out at the same time??? Please help

you have two options:
1. Fix air suspension
2. replace air suspension with normal shock absorber + spring leaf.

Hyundai Equus comes with two type of suspension:
1. Normal Suspension gaz shock absorber + leaf spring
2. Air suspension shock absorber + air spring

Thank you for the response and advice. question for you, since both sides went down at the same time, do you think it could be a solenoid? something electrical or do they always both drop at the same time or is it sometimes one side? I checked the fuses by the steering wheel and by the engine and both were fine. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

That it dropped evenly doesn't mean anything in many cases. Unless each side has it own system a leak in one strut will bleed air from the system as a whole so both sides will drop.

If you get it back up get the soapy water out and look for a leak.

I'm going to go ahead do the strutmaster replacement on my car, I don't feel like dealing with the unknown of when the rear will go out.

To make the strut master conversion do you need any special tools to remove the OEM or to install the strut master kit?

I don't advice to go with strutmaster. Just buy OEM suspension that fit in KIA K900 as shown in previous replay

If you want to do conversation to normal suspension I advice you to go with OEM suspension.

Same thing happened to my 2013 Equus. Seems the cost of tracking down the problem far outweigh the benefits, so looking to retrofit passive suspension. Anyone have a line on budget priced system to replace the air suspension system ????

Sounds just as expensive as repairing air system
it's cheaper. lets assume its pricey as air system but for long term you will be happy for what you have been paid

Friday I switched out my suspension to the Strut Masters, the process couldn't of been easier. It took me about 4.5 hours from beginning to end. Then I went to have my car aligned, it rides great. You can tell the difference from the air suspension to the shocks, but it's not major at all. I'm very satisfied with the transition.
