  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all,

I am about to buy the above Genesis tomorrow morning. Do you all think this is a good deal? It drives well and is really clean inside and outside but my only concern is the number of miles on it. I just need it to last at least a year or 2 until I can afford a newer car

Hopefully it was taken care of and has service records. Make sure it isn't a flood vehicle.

There’s simply no way to know how long it will last, regardless of how it was maintained.

Get a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted local independent mechanic.

Tough call. Get it checked over and you may have a better idea. It was a well built model, but, things do wear and cannot be seen to check. Things like alternator bearings, brake cylinders and the like are not expensive compared to the monthly payment on a new car. You may get many more miles though, so enjoy the ride,
