Have 2013 Genesis with 33k miles on it. the up function on the electronic steering wheel adjustment is not working again. I had this problem "fixed" at the dealer in May, 2022 with 26K on the car .. they replaced the:
1. Column & Shaft Assembly
2. Switch Assembly
Cost was $2600 but was covered under my 10yr extended warranty I took out when buying the car used from Hyundai with 3K miles on it in Dec, 2018.
Frustrating.. I have a part go out after such an exhaustive replacement. I am thinking whether they really ever changed any part to fix the problem as it is an electrical issue.
I am bring back the car in Sept, 2023 to the same dealer....not sure whether they will charge me again and "replace" the same parts. I would usually just live with it, but the car has fully warranty until 2028, but do not want to waste the warranty money on such a small issue.
Thoughts?
