  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just put my beloved R-Spec in the shop for some long overdue minor body repairs. Two questions while I sit here in this stupid rental Camry:

1) I haven't done much to the car since I bought it, other than adding the wing emblem and wheel cap emblems. Am I missing anything?
2) I spilled some liquid in the center area below gearshift; all buttons still work, but one of them is still sticky and sticks when you press it. Any solutions other than doling out $1k+ to replace that center nav unit?

Have your replaced your fluids? Brake fluid, coolant, trans, rear diff fluid etc.?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
For #2 I would use a little CRC Contact Cleaner or Electronics Cleaner.

Spray a little into the gap between the button and frame. Push the button a bunch of times and see if it resolves the issue.

I have the same issue with the bottom right button next to the "wheel" - I have sprayed everything possible and it still sticks. Will have to pull the trim pieces off and manually clean it I think.
Make 100% sure you have all fluids replaced, spark plugs, etc. Most of this can be done yourself if you like.
I have the original brake pads and rotors on my 2013 and I am at 112000 miles
