  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello all.

Curious if anyone had experience with anything like this.

The other day I had one of the big homies reach through the pass-through in my back seat to snag something in the trunk and the big guy struggled, but finally got the item, but at the expense of the vertical support on the cushion, highlighted in red on this pic.

Now, the bolstering on that side is dead and that portion of the cushion is loose, pitted, and flappy.

I will be checking in with an auto upholsterer, but I was wondering if anyone knew how to access that portion of the back seat?

All that has occurred here is the vertical support was bent towards the opening behind the arm rest, and I do imagine if I can bend it back that this issue will be resolved with some yield to the support, but worth a shot.

Image below is a stock photo, not my actual car, but the highlighted damage is the area I am interested in accessing.

Any input is appreciated, thanks!

_Michael

The other day I had came across a video on YouTube of a guy taking the back seat off but not sure how you would be able to get in there? But if you are able I'm sure you would have to take the ba k seat off...

My guess is it's just like any seat. Remove the rear tray and there should be several screws holding the seat back in place. Remove those and pull up on the seat back to remove it.
