2013 Won’t start or it’s a delayed start.

Hey Guys, need some help with a starting issue.
My 2013 Genesis does 1 of 4 things when I start it.
1. It will start fine.
2. It will not start but, all the other things do come on. ig. Dash, radio, climate etc.
3. It does not start at first but within a few seconds the all the other things come on and then it starts.
4. I’ll push the start button and nothing happens right away but, within a few seconds all the other things will come on but, my car doesn’t start or even turn over.

It’s not the key phob.
I’m thinking maybe a short somewhere in something that has to do with starting it or a part that needs to be replaced.

I just don’t know what part it would be to check for a short or to be replaced.

It wouldn't be a "short," it would be an intermittent "open." Those are two very different things.
Since you say that sometimes other things don't come on for a few seconds, it seems less likely that it is the starter itself or the starter relay. I'd start with the positive and negative battery connections and the fuses on the positive cable. You may want to wiggle some of that while someone else tries the start button and see if there is any correlation between what you touch and what happens.

Agreed, a good hard look at the fuseblock on top of the battery is in order, followed by grounds everywhere. If there is nothing obvious, and the frequency of #2/3/4 occurring is enough that a mechanic could observe it while connected to a GDS ... then go do so.
