  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

There doesn't seem to be any way to search within a specific community, so sorry if this subject has been posted to death. I have a low profile 3-ton hydraulic lift I can place easily on the front crossing frame member. So lifting both front wheels simultaneously isn't hard. I can place jack stands at the lift points using some sort of pinch weld adapter. But I don't see any reachable frame members for lifting both rear wheels simulataneously. If I'm going to jack at a rear pinch weld, where do I place my jack stands? I placed them under a suspension arm but it made me really nervous. Or can I lift at a rear suspension point to free up the pinchweld lift point for a jack stand? Also, I really didn't like lifting only one side while the front was supported by the jack stands. Short of buying a Quickjack, can anybody give me some insight on safely getting the car up on 4 stands? I don't want to be a nominee for a Darwin award. (It took me probably an hour before I had the car up on all fours. I was just so cautious.) I had intended to rotate tires, change the oil, and change the differential fluid. I've got over 100k miles on the same differential fluid. I only ended up rotating and changing the oil because I didn't want to get so far under the car. (I can jump out of a plane. But don't ask me to get under a car if I'm not fully confident of the setup.)

I lifted our car by the suspension like you did and a put my jacks under the body pinch welds. The front ones are close the front tire. These are also the jack points. Quick help...Jack Points?
