Hi All,
I could appreciate some input on this intermittent issue.
My 2014 Equus Ultimate has 12,000 miles on the odometer and everything has been working as it should.
Last night, when driving on the Interstate, I started hearing a crackling noise coming from just above the overhead console (door light button area) just in front of the sunroof. My initial thought was that it started to rain as it sounded like raindrops. However, it was not raining as my front windshield will attest.
After turning off the radio and attempting to isolate where it was coming from, it seemed to be in the area above the overhead console (where the eyeglass holder is located) and it almost sounded like an electrical crackling sound. There was no electrical smell or any warnings whatsoever other than just this strange noise.
It continued for 15 miles or so while I was on a straight area of the Interstate and only disappeared when I exited via a cloverleaf. Somehow, the turning motion of the car made it stop.
Since this is intermittent, before I get the Dealer involved (and as luck will have it, it will most likely behave when the Dealer has the car), has anyone heard of this issue?
It was really strange!
Many Thanks!
