  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Dont think you need to take that off. Just unbolt and move to the side. Take a pic a little further away if you can.

I ended up just bringing it in. Cost $250 for the 3 spark plugs on the driver side and installing 2 gaskets.

I have about 14k left before I decide to change mine. Hopefully I’ll remember to chime in and maybe even take enough photos for a detailed walkthrough.

Dealer wanted almost $700 to change plugs. So I did it myself. First three on passenger side less than an hour. Next three plugs took me four evenings after work - PITA. The bolts back near the firewall could only be seen using a mirror. Everything was a rabbit hole, one after the other.

The plugs looked great upon removal and the car ran fine at 98K miles. To my surprise, the car runs smoother after the change and has much quicker response on hard acceleration, whereas before I had a slight hesitation.

I would strongly encourage to think long and hard about changing the plugs. The dealer $700 is almost all labor and you will earn your savings. I would probably change the first three and let the dealer do the other three plugs if I wanted to save some money and time.

Just informational. It is a quick release fitting.

You have to compress the plastic ring into the fuel hose connector with a release tool. I just use two flat head screw drivers to press in on each side of the ring(you may have rotate the screwdrivers around the ring as press in the ring) until the fuel hose releases.
