  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I Have a 2015 Genesis standard V6 with 51k miles on it. Just recently when I engage the adaptive cruise control and it slows down on its own, the entire car shakes a lot. The steering wheel, the wheels, everything shakes and then it will eventually stop when the car stops. It only does it when the cruise control is engaged AND it needs to slow the car down below 25mph. Any ideas what's causing this ?

First thing I would try is to use the standard CC just to be sure that is working properly. If it is, then it may be the sensor. That should slow the car but no idea what would cause the shaking unless it is sort of "stuttering" as it is slowing you. Like a blinking light bulb.

The driver may choose to only use
the Cruise Control Mode (speed control
function) by doing as follows:
1. Turn the Smart Cruise Control
System on (the cruise indicator
light will be on but the system will
not be activated).
2. Push and hold the Vehicle-to-
Vehicle Distance button for more
than 2 seconds.
3. Choose between "Smart Cruise
Control" and "Cruise Control".

Without cruise, try braking at different rates to see if you get any of the shaking. It could be an issue with build up on the rotors.

It only does it with the “smart cruise control” enabled. It I guess could be classified as a “puttering” or something like that. It only does it when slowing down so my gut tells me it’s something worth the sensor that is picking up the distance closing on car in front of me.

I tried braking at different speeds. Doesn’t do it. Also tried just using cruise control and it does not do it.
