  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

It seems like the lumbar has gone out in my driver's seat. And my mileage is at 60,200. Now the seat is very unsupportive, and when I push any of the lumbar adjustments, I just hear clicking. Has anybody else experienced this? I've only had this car for two years, and the rear window has already broken twice, and now this. This will be my last Hyundai, this car has disappointed me multiple times in only two years of ownership. Now, the dealer is telling me that you can't even get the lumbar mechanism on its own, you have to buy the entire seat back, which is $1200. I believe I've found it online for around $900. But that is still ridiculous. And that's the part only. I'd have to pay them labor to install it, or do it myself. I might just get myself a lumbar pillow to use, and just start saving my money to dump this turd ASAP. I'm dreading the day something important in the car breaks, and I only hope I can get rid of it before that happens.

Try owning a BMW or Mercedes. 1200 will get you an alignment and couple seals, and not even a reach around.

Also had the same problem with the foward and backward motion. Found a salvaged seat but the dealer charged me 1700 for labor and part. I still have the seat with the lumbar motors if u want them. I would do the labor myself if I were you to save tons of money. Email me if you still need them.
