  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I need help with a passenger window which intermittently does not respond to either the master switch or the door switch. It will not roll down sometimes until I open and shut the door heavily or sometimes just driving the car for a few miles both switches will operate the window.
Do I need new switches or is there something wrong with the regulator, the motor or both?
Any suggestions would be welcome and much appreciated.

It's only a guess but I'd be very suspicious of a harness connector being loose or corroded (or both) somewhere.

I have this very rarely on my drivers door, and I think that is because window stuck in the sealing like it is glued.
this always happen when car was not drived for several days

Thanks for the suggestion, I will take a close look at all the connections starting at the motor/regulator. Thanks!

You're welcome, G-81. I will be very interested in your results, because I suspect many of the problems we hear about are harness *connector* related (corroded, especially in cars older than five or so years). Of course I could be wrong.... We just need more information.
