  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I got the TPMS light flashing in my 2015 Genesis. It’s been doing it for a few months now. This week I have to take it in to Mavis to have the winter snows installed. They want $89.00 per wheel to change those sensors. Is it worth it? Maybe I should just replace the bad sensors right now.

In my opinion that is too much. I recently purchased new tires and the tire store charged $12 for each sensor. Your replacement would be more as the shop would need to remove and reinstall the wheel/tire and then reinstall the tire/wheel after replacing the sensor. The battery goes bad in the sensor after a few years. Many tire shops install new sensors as part of the tire replacement process. The best time to change sensors is when you replace tires.

I would think 30 to 40 dollars plus the sensor price would be about right. You could check Walmart as they stock sensors for many cars.

I’m looking to save some money and buy the sensors myself. It’s giving me an option of aluminum or rubber. Not sure which one I need

Aluminum or rubber for the exposed part of the valve stem? That's up to you then.
