  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I was having the same issue as some others have stated, where the oil light comes on once the engine warms up. But it'll only flash when coming to a stop or low speeds. So I took it to the dealership to have it looked at. The mechanic stated he thought it was the oil pressure switch/sensor and they could change it and it would stop it from doing that. I get a call saying it didn't fix the light, and asked me what I wanted to do. I asked could they figure out why and they said it's the oil pump and quoted me $10,800 to fix it. Smh I couldn't do anything but laugh.
So I go to pick up my car cause I wanted to take it to another shop. I was thinking it was still doing it like before , but now the oil light is constantly on and the check engine light is on too. These are the codes P0444 and P0522. I asked to speak with the mechanic who worked on my car to see what the issue was and why the cel was now on after doing the repair. But to my luck he wasn't there so now I'm stuck waiting on an answer. Anyone have to replace an oil pump ? I'm very picky about who works on my car. I stopped letting the dealer change my oil because they would leave rags under the hood, my panels wouldn't be put back together, or even break clips etc and not say anything.

I wouldn't begin to trust their diagnosis of it being the oil pump. The two codes you have now are electrical. He forgot to plug the EVAP purge solenoid valve back in (P0444), or he damaged a wiring harness. He also didn't actually plug the new oil pressure sensor in (P0522), or he damaged a wiring harness.
You may be stuck going somewhere else to get them to fix it and try to bring that bill back to this dealership. (Your odds of success are low I suspect, but I'd still try.)

Ok thanks for responding, from what I looked up I was thinking it was something electrical, either the harness or something not installed right. So I'm waiting on a response from the dealer and then I'm going to try to find some where to take my car.
