  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Recently the rear under caddy came off. It looks like a large mat and fits under the car. Evidently this is used to protect the radiation. I can't help but think this was done while they were changing my oil and didn't put the screws/bolts back on! Is this something that needs to be replaced? After looking at replacements it will cost around $600.

I can't give you a straight up yes or no. It does a few things. Offers some protection from road debris, gives smoother air flow for better mileage, may have some affect on cooling.

Personally, at $600, I'd leave it off and see if it makes a difference. Yes, others had problems with the attachments over time too. Don't know if anyone has removed it but you may get an answer here about it.

There's a thread on here somewhere from a person that left the undercover(s) off and water splashing from driving in the rain ruined their power steering rack, so $600 for a cover or $6,600 for a steering rack plus a cover...

Our transmission pans are also made of plastic so I would buy one asap. The hardware they use to bolt up the panels are garbage get the updated panels for the 2017+ genesis g80s. They have access panels for the filter and drain plug.
