  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2G Genesis Sedan (2015-2016)
I notice some 2015 sedans have fog lights. My 2015 Ultimate AWD (purchased used) doesn't, even though they are shown in the owners manual. Anyone here got the lowdown on which models have them? Is there any site that may show options for that year? My car had a cargo tray, first aid kit and mud flaps as options. I wonder what other options were available.

Thanks.

With AWD you also got the heated steering wheel and headlight washers. There were a handful of dealer installed options like wheel locks and bumper applique.

The 5.0 had them, I don’t believe any of the 2015 3.8 trims had fog lights.

You got it. Makes sense the manual would cover the 5.0. I wonder what prompted Hyundai to put them on the 5.0 and not on the 3.8.

Thanks.

Why doesn't my 2015 5.0 ultimate have the rear sun shade, also what is the surround view monitor I don't have that either. When I put the car in reverse I have two different set of lines for the back up camera, one is straight and the other turns with the car. I thought that this car would have all the available options.

I had the sunshade. I also had the AWD but I don't think that made a difference. Could be the Canadian model just did not have it. You don't get the sun as bad as the southern states. Manual shades on the rear doors, electric on the rear window. Should be a switch on the rear armrest and the lower left panel on the dash if you have it.

The double lines are because the head unit was replaced. The tech should have fixed that. Can be done, not sure how but it was posted on this forum.

The surround view was not available until the 2018 model. Really nice to have too!

Surround view is in my e manual for 2015 . I do have the Canadian version of the car. Should I take t to the dealer and ask them to fix the double line. I'm going to see if I can get a detailed list of the services that was done on the car. I noticed that the sun roof will open but it won't close all the way, I think that it is the rubber seals.

Sunroof needs a recalibration. Push the button up (not forward/back) and hold until it completes a full cycle of operation. It could be pull down and hold but it's been a while since I recalibrated mine.

Double lines are fixed by switching an option in the dealer menu, or you can use the engineering menu to reach the same place.
Dual lines means your variant programming has gotten reset, usually from the battery being run dead or disconnected at some point. Just go into the dealer menu (hold center circle in System Info menu)>variants (code 6172)>System and check the box for "Park Assist 1" (I think) it will turn the line under it from "Rear Camera Only" to "PG5". Hit Send on the top right and you should be good to go after a reboot. And the easiest way to perform a reboot is to open the SD card slot on the radio face, press the SD card to eject it, then press it back in. You may want to peruse this list and ensure the relevant features are checked- the head unit and instrument cluster may not know all the features your car is equipped with. However, checking things that are not equipped or not for your region will introduce hilarious side effects that you are best not used.

There are other things you can mess with in these menus, but some may make it quite difficult to get back into the system or navigation (like changing "dvd" regions or map zones). Fortunately nothing is permanent and you can always tiptoe back into the dealer menu after a reboot. Plus you can find all the hidden goodies and features like DAB radio or DMB TV (neither are available in US). Or "VIP" mode for the sound system, for when you've got a company president in your right rear seat.
