  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm having some difficulty removing the interior trunk trim on the driver's side. I have the fasteners, screws, and bolts removed. I feel like I'm needing too much force to pop the trim out from around the trunk lifting arm and don't want to damage it. Is there a best procedure for accomplishing this?

Be careful, because the trunk lifting arm cover piece is also wedged against the trunk lid trim cover by plastic supports. You will need to remove the trunk lid trim and lifting arm covers to pull the lower trim out. I also believe that a pop tab is also located on the lower trim in the rear near the hinge as well if I remembered correctly. I think the tabs are hidden on both sides under the center trunk cover trim piece.
