  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

hey guys, I am trying to remove the rear panel so that I can drain oil from the oil pan. There are three what look like screws on each side of the middle of the panel that need to come out in order to remove the panel, but I cannot figure out how to remove them. There is a hole in the center of the screw that looks like it is threaded but I cannot tell for sure. Does anyone know how to remove these three connectors on each side so that the lower panel can be removed? I have already removed the 6 10mm bolts. thanks

The plastic support pieces are panel tabs that has to be pulled out in the center since I think the original tabs are a pop-type of body tabs. The center hole is a body tab hole that goes in between the the two covers. However, if the tabs have a phillip screw section; then you use a screw driver to raise the center section of the tabs and them pull them out. I replaced all my tabs with the pop-type on my body panels.
