  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have. 2015 Sedan with Tech Package, here’s my situation, could use some help.

Friday night when I got home I put car into park but car wouldn’t shut off. Not the engine nor the power. Tried shifting in and out of park. Tried driving some more. Tried switching FOBS. Nothing. Finally had to pull a fuse to cut the engine. However the lights and power was still on so had to pull negative battery lead.

Hooked it back up and lights and power all came right back on. Car still wouldn’t start. Tried FOB pushed against start button too. Had to disconnect battery again since it won’t shut off lights and power if connected.

Car detected FOB inside and outside vehicle as it buzzes that it’s missing. However the FOB won’t operate doors or trunk. Tried both FOB’s before disconnecting terminal again.

Only other background to give was prior to it not shutting off, I drove to a restaurant and left the car running for my passenger. I thought I’d only be a minute. I had FOB with me. The car stil ran and just gave the warning of car not in vehicles. I ended up being gone for 25 minutes. Came back out and it shifted into gear and drove but when got home it wouldn’t shut off.

I’m at a loss. Google isn’t really my friend with this situation to find similar cases either. Hoping the forum can help me! Right now I can’t even start it to get it to dealer so I’m stuck.

That's a weird one. When you reconnect the battery and the lights come on (assuming the switch is off)... Something's messed up one of the computers. Pretty much everything electrical on the car ends up going through a computer.

How old's the battery? Low voltage can cause all kinds of problems. Not knowing much else... I'd make sure the batt has a full charge and then reconnect.

Next, I would have someone with a decent scanner scan it for trouble codes and then clear them.
