  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So for the last few weeks my car would randomly get loud and grabbled sound from all the speakers put it on volume 4 and it sounds like level 20 with washed out tones and sometimes only playing on one side.... took it to Hyundai here locally when it was doing it... note if it sets for a few hours off it works fine again so I guess I would hit the dealership while it was doing it. he hears it and does a reset to the navi unit still sounds horrible unplugs amp from back waits 3 mins plugs in and works fine... so he determined it was the amp they ordered the part and now I am awaiting the repair.... the car has about 8,000 miles left on the bumper to bumper warranty is this a common issue with Genny's he said if that did not fix it they would replace the navi unit.... sooo no I am glad I bought the 125,000 mile warranty... Has anyone else had this issue with their Gennys

Not me but I've only had it for 6 months. I had my navigation randomly restart itself this morning though! Suspected cause - loose contact between head unit and SD card due to low temps (under 30).

I had the left front speakers (door tweeter and the midrange on the dash) both drop out before. They were able to replicate it and replaced the head unit under warranty (quoted at $5k 😰). I bought the cpo warranty wrap immediately after. It's only happened once since, and turning the car off and on again fixed it. I'm still unsure if it's just a loose connection, amp issue, software hiccup... rare and always fixes itself though.

Edit: I should mention this was for the ultimate head unit / amp
