  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello!

I have a 2016 Genesis 3.8 AWD with about 97,000 miles. I just had all of the fluids changed. Brakes, differential, transmission, oil, and coolant.

I use Costco gas religiously. I have been noticing my RPMs have been jumping even when at a stop light. The A/C is off. Sometimes the car will randomly lurch forward after going from park to drive. I did have a vacuum leak but I replaced the gas cap and erased the code. The code has not come back yet. Could there still be a vacuum leak? Any thoughts on what else it could be? Any service bulletins anyone is aware of?

Let me know if you need anymore information.

About rpms maybe throttle body needs to be cleaned, but proceed with caution, first because you can destroy the angle position sensor, second after cleaning it is good to recalibrate it. This can be done only trough the diag.
About the transmission lurch, did you change transmission fluid? If you do it is almost a must to adapt the transmission...

I had that issue with my 2017 G80 but new front brakes resolved it. It looks like you already have new brakes. If your brake fluid has been changed then replace your front brakes.
