  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
2G Genesis Sedan (2015-2016)
I just recently purchased a 2016 Genesis. I noticed that the Lane Keep Assist works intermittently. Sometimes the green wheel indicator is on, sometimes it’s not. I have played with different settings but nothing has been consistent. Is anyone else experiencing this or have suggestions to remedy?

Depends on the road markings. If it does not see the lines it goes off. Since none of us here can see your roads it is difficult to say if there are other issues.

How is it on the highway? They are usually more consistent with the lines. compared to secondary roads.

I find that it is intermittent if the road is not well marked. Also, if the sun is a certain angle from the reflective road paintings it can also fail to read the lines. I really notice the difference between it and my 2010 Genesis "beater" though in regard to the extra attention required to stay in my lane. I have had a couple of cases where my attention was diverted elsewhere and drifted a bit as a result. Usually with the 2015 it reels me in before crossing any lines! Getting lazy in my old age!!
