2016 heads up display issues

My 2016 genesis sedan heads-up display keep resetting its height on its own

Just a guess, but you may have a malfunctioning projector unit in the dash. However, I hope not due to cost of the unit new and used.

Hope thats the case, it was for me when I experienced this symptom. It was fairly frustrating because I KNEW I had switched to a high position, yet seemingly randomly it would reset to the low position.

Took a little while before realizing what was going on, the HUD height adjusts quickly when you press the seat memory button so if you aren't looking closely at that moment you won't see it.

Adjust the seat, adjust the HUD, then reset the seat memory and problem solved.

The dash illumination level also saves/restores with seat position.
