  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Had my windshield replaced with OEM glass at Safelite. Had all sensors recalibrated by Hyundai dealer. Windshield wipers never worked the same again. Just had my third (OEM glass) windshield installed (much construction on Orlando highways (UGH!)) and asked for rain sensor to be replaced. Tech at Safelite said it "looked good", so he only replaced adhesive (?). Wipers STILL do not work properly. Heading back to Safelite tomorrow to have new rain sensor installed. Hopeful this corrects problem. This vehicle has been flawless otherwise. I don't understand why the sensors are so out of whack from windshield replacement. Will report back Wednesday after the new sensor is installed.

Only time we've had any issues with the rain sensor after a replacement was when the customer had it replaced by Safelite. Safelite hacked that car all up replacing the windshield. Don't recall if it was an OEM glass or aftermarket.

Had my windshield replaced by the dealer, upon purchase, due to distortion. The rain sensor has never worked since. It's like on a timer every 30 seconds = 1 swipe. I've taken it back to the dealer several times and they demonstrate that it works when they spray the glass with a hose, but when I drive in the rain it does not work.

My windishield was replaced and rain sensor works correctly. It was OEM glass.
