2017 G80 Ultimate 3.8 - Air Conditioning

Question - Is there any way to change the speed of the air conditioner blower other than pushing the up down buttons on the dash? Available using anything on sterring wheel or another place?

I just put the system at 72 deg and AUTO mode. Then I don't touch it. It does a great job of keeping me comfortable. This is on my 2018 G80.

Thanks pmckechnie. What I'm trying to determine is if there is a manual way to either increase or decrease the fan speed other than using the two buttons on the dash...completely understand about the AUTO mode - I use it regulary - but there are times the fan is on full blast and I want to be able to reduce the fan speed and looking to see if I can do that by some button that may be on the steering wheel?

Sorry, not that I know of. I have noticed that the fan speed will go down if I get a phone call and go back up when I finish the call. I'm not sure but I believe it will also go down if you are using the voice features. I will experiment with it next time I am out and about.

I just used the voice recognition for finding a POI and the car is smart enough to automatically reduce the fan speed to improve recognition. Very smart! Nothing like that on my last Lexus.

funny you should mention the fan speed adjusting with the phone - I too have noticed that but oddly enough if it is extremely hot out, as it is in Dallas now, it lowers the fan but within a few minutes the speed starts creeping back up automatically - while it does lower it as first it must have some internal setting that still keeps it at a minimum temperature even at risk of being loud - I suppose the alternative is it allowing you to sweat while on the phone.
