  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum. I recently got a check engine light on my 2018 Genesis G8 3.8. A diagnostic check revealed a P0174 error code telling me that it’s the MAF or MAP sensor. I can’t find anything on the MAF sensor for the 2018 model even though a Google search says that that car does have an MAF sensor. I was able to find the MAP sensor. Does anyone know if the 2018 G80 3.8 has an MAF and where is it located? Thanks in advance!

There are lots of possible causes for a lean code. I don't how you are leaping to the conclusion that it is the MAF (car doesn't have one) or the MAP (does have one), without doing any diagnostic testing other then reading codes (the first step, not the only step). It will get expensive and frustrating if you are just going to throw parts at it.

The MAP Sensor:
