There's a dude here below on youtube test driving one from some dealership.... he got what seems 5 flat without even trying, AND with a full tank of regular gas. Open it up in the regular youtube and read the comments below the vid.

Car and Driver I would bet will get under 5 when they instrument test. Motortrend will fall behind that like usual. Road and Track sometimes BEATS C&D.

Alex on Autos got a 5.3s 0-60 time for the G80 Sport.

For reference, here's what Alex got for the 5.0 and certain competitors.

4.7s. - 2017 G80 5.0

4.8s - 2017 540i
4.9s - Q70 5.6L
5.4s - A6 3.0T
5.7s - 2016 GS 350

I would have to disagree with those times. I don't know how alex got those times (I was impatiently waiting to watch his review) as most people get 5 flat for the 5.0 which is reasonable while others have said even more like motortrends 5.2 time. ive driven the 5.0 and i think 5 seconds flat sounds about right but I can also say the same for the 3.3tt (as I own the car). ive tested it on both apps and on a stopwatch and have gotten 5.2 0-60. I did that in 100 degrees weather so I know its a 5 second car in a more reasonable temperature. also I'm expecting to get closer to 4.5 once I instal my tune and spark plugs.

Just a suggestion on what I've done that definitely helped me..... run the tank down to 1/8 full.. and do a few more tests late at night if you can when the low temps come. And by yourself nobody in the car with you.
See what you get.

Alex on Autos got a 5.3s 0-60 time for the G80 Sport.

For reference, here's what Alex got for the 5.0 and certain competitors.

4.7s. - 2017 G80 5.0

4.8s - 2017 540i
4.9s - Q70 5.6L
5.4s - A6 3.0T
5.7s - 2016 GS 350
I find these times highly doubtful ... check the numbers below, and neither the 5.0 nor the 3.3T would beat most of these cars (except the Lexus)

Genesis G80 3.3T
Horsepower 365 @ 6,000 RPM
Torque 376 lb.-ft. @ 1,300-4,500 RPM
Base Curb Weight (lbs): 4,674

Audi A6 3.0T quattro
Horsepower 340 @ 5,500 - 6,500 RPM
Torque 325 lb-ft. @ 2,900 - 5,300 RPM
Curb Weight(lb) 4,277

BMW 540i
Horsepower: 335 @ 5,500 - 6,500 RPM
Torque: 332 @ 1,380 - 5,200 RPM
Curb weight: 3,847

Infinity Q70 3.7
Horsepower 330 @ 7,000 RPM
Torque 270 lb-ft @ 5,200 RPM
Curb weight (lb) 3,876

Unless all these 0-60 times were done on the same road, in the same weather and road conditions, I think these numbers are bulls#!$ - the curb weight of the Genesis is 800 lbs over the BMW and Infinity, the few extra ponies and torques would never make up for that. I know the Audi will drive circles around any Genesis all day long, I've driven it multiple times (I didn't drive the 3.3T, but Audi underrates their engines constantly and has a 400 lb weight advantage) ...

After test driving a G80 Sport, I think the 3.3 is also underrated. The car was much quicker than I expected, and I was being careful to not go full throttle on a new car. This was during a long test drive, car very easily rolled right up to 90 on freeway and would have kept going, again not full throttle.

Depends on the driver, road conditions, temp and altitude.

0-60 times can vary widely from publication to publication; hence, look more at how various competitors fare against each other.

MT got a 5.4s time w/ the 3.3TT G90 w/ H-Trac, so 5.3s for the G80 Sport seems very doable.

MT got a 5.4s time w/ the GS F-Sport, 5.5s w/ the 535i, 5.8s w/ the E350 4Matic and 4.4s w/ the CTS V-Sport.

MT got 4.7s w/ the A6 3.0T (C&D got a 4.6s time) so Alex's time for that seems a bit slow.

CarandDriver got a 5.3 0-60 w/ a G90 3.3 AWD, curb weight 4824. I don't think some people posting here realize how much weather conditions and track conditions make in acceleration times. It's very important when comparing times. Also, since the 3.3 TT can use regular or premium fuels, which tests were using what fuel? A mix of both? Genesis says the 365 HP/ 376 TQ is made on premium, even premium fuels can vary significantly from craptastic cali 91 to quality 93 in other states. Fuel quality has a big impact on turbo engine performance. Now throw in the variability's of mass producing cars . Point is, acceleration times can and do vary significantly depending on conditions. I believe a 5.0 second 0-60 is entirely possible for a G80 Sport.

My reason was to show what the other cars do in their 0- to times. Look at the 5.0 R spec's for example. Can compare much more than 0-60 with a single organization publishing lists of cars/companies over the years. Very good source.

It would be very nice if someone will actually dyno the car. Based on my personal feeling I think 3.3T is underrated.
