Dealer replaced shot steering rack at 27k after waiting for a back ordered one for 3 months. Local, fabulous mechanic replaced shot front and rear rotors and pads at 31k. Dead starter replaced at 38k. Now I’m told I must replace the shot strut mount bearings at 40k. (Parts are back ordered for who knows how long). All issues have occurred outside of the five year warranty coverage. Vehicle regularly serviced according to Genesis specs. That’s over Cdn $12,000 in the past 2 years. Is my car a lemon or are they all like this? I love the looks and comfort of the car and it goes like stink when necessary, but it’s only done 40k and has been so expensive. Not to mention all parts have been backordered and have required extended waiting periods. Is it time to leave Genesis and trade it in?
