  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone tried to put the newer headlights from the 2019 G80 onto the older model 2015 Genesis. I saw the latest G80 pulling out of a parking lot a few days ago and it looks really nice at night.

No idea if the wiring is the same. Sure, they look nice, but you may change your mind at the price. They replaced on when my car got hit and I forget the exact price but it was over $1200 each.

It wont work the same, the pins are in different locations. You would have to repin your 15 to match the 19 also you may have a issue with the amount of current is needed to power the 2019 headlights. No simple answer, your going to have to get both wire diagrams for both cars and check voltage and current draw on both cars to try and match

I am currently repairing my 16' 3.8 Ultimate and it's estimated that it will cost $1700 to replace just the left headlight (The headlight alone OEM brand new is $1400). I went ahead and purchased a used headlight for $450 and replaced it myself and I can say that even between the 2015 and 2016 the headlights are different. The fitment is perfect but there is an extra pin for a high side DRL in auto mode that is added to the 2016 headlight. This extra pin causes a 2015 DRL lights to no longer work while in the auto setting. My guess is that the connector would be a good bit different on the 2019 light due to the fact that I believe the 2019 is a bi-xenon headlight where the 2015-2018 operate off of a single Xenon. I can also say that you do not want to re-pin the headlight. I have already tried and decided that it's nearly impossible due to the space constraints in which you would be working.
