  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone,

I have a 2019 Genesis G70 2.0T AWD. It's at 63,000 KM. For the past month, I've been running into a P0172 issue. I changed the engine air filter, my mechanic changed the air fuel sensor and checked the MAP sensor but the check engine light keeps returning (usually after a drive cycle - either a week of driving or 150km+)

The car drives fine - no issues to really point out aside from a very slight rough idle when I start my car in the morning. My mechanic said it isn't misfiring so it can't be spark plugs and very unlikely to be a leak. He thinks it's a possible issue with the ECU (Needs an update or replacement).

I wanted to post on here to get any ideas or if anyone else faced the same issue before. I'm already $450 in trying to fix this, so I'm hoping to get an answer.

Thanks.

Try a good fuel treatment like this. Another relatively cheap option you can try.
