  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Tailored to be never available in the US.

Well, it's July 4th and the only tweets I've seen lately are about the G80. I figured the next tweets would've landed today on the 4th.

Note to editors: This is the third of four product-related press releases in the lead-up to the U.S. market launch of the 2019 Genesis G70.
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., July 5, 2018 – The 2019 Genesis G70 is engineered to put drivers first offering customers the same, industry-leading levels of safety, customer service and technological advancements found across the Genesis lineup. G70 is the third Genesis model in a lineup consistently recognized for excellence in quality and the ownership experience.
Safety
Like all Genesis vehicles, the G70 offers an unparalleled level of standard active- and passive-safety equipment, surpassing the competition. These include advanced driver assistance systems such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist and Driver Attention Warning. The G70 was designed to meet the highest safety standards, just like the G80 and G90 sedans.
Customer Service
G70 offers a class-exclusive, no-cost, consumer-focused program that elevates the luxury vehicle ownership experience: a collection of concierge services that exceeds the near-luxury level benchmark. From valet service appointments scheduled using the Genesis mobile app, to complimentary maintenance and Genesis Connected Services, the Genesis experience provides owners market-leading convenience and time savings:
  • Three years/36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled G70 maintenance
  • Three years/36,000 miles of complimentary Genesis Service Valet care
  • Three years of complimentary SiriusXM® Travel Link (Data Services)
  • Three years of complimentary Annual Multimedia and Navigation Updates
  • Lifetime complimentary traffic data via HD+ Traffic radio
Warranty
Peace of mind is also standard on G70, thanks to a 5-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty. G70 also features Enhanced Roadside Assistance and Concierge Services, including tire changes or transportation to the nearest Genesis dealership or authorized service facility and reimbursement for inconvenience. For the first three years or 36,000 miles, complimentary Service Valet will collect the G70 to service it and offer a courtesy replacement meanwhile.
Technology
To complete the total ownership experience, every G70 model will come standard with Genesis Connected Services. Advanced telematics include technology like Destination Search powered by Voice, Car Finder, Enhanced Roadside Assistance and Stolen Vehicle Recovery. With a complimentary three-year subscription, Genesis Connected Services further enhances assurance for drivers and passengers, with SOS Emergency & Automatic Collision Notification.
When combining the power of Genesis Connected Services and an Amazon Alexa-enabled device, the G70 offers remote voice control, performing tasks including Remote Door Lock/Unlock and Remote Start with a specified interior temperature. Genesis Connected Services can also easily be accessed from the controls located on the vehicle’s center stack, the rearview mirror, the internet through the MyGenesisUSA.com website or via the smartphone/smartwatch app exclusive to Genesis owners. Genesis Intelligent Assistant adds another degree of seamless connectivity, sending notifications and recommendations ahead of the drive, delivering point-of-interest navigation directly to G70, and providing a vehicle health report on demand.

This company is going downhill in my book. What a joke. My 14 year old daughter can plan this out better.

Why would they give pricing already? While people here want to know and are speculating, you don't want to give the competition more planning time than you have to.

As noted, this is release 3 of 4. Evidently they have a plan, though your daughter may disagree with it. Just a guess, the 4th release may be the official announcement with dates.

Aside from dealers and anyone planning to buy one, the release date will not affect us. They said "summer" so they have to Sept 21. The rest of us are just interested observers. I'm putting my effort into coming up with what to do for dinner tonight and letting Genesis come up with release dates. Maybe sausage on the grill with onions and peppers. I'll go to the store in my G80.

This is the third of four. So, the first was released on June 11. The second followed 17 days later on June 28. This, the third, came today (July 5), 7 days after the second. No obvious pattern here. I suspect that, as with the previous press releases, we'll soon see a bunch of "reviews" that are just re-statements of what's in the press releases. This last one does at least clarify some things, like the warranty, service, and concierge services that will come with the car. They almost seem geared to 3-year leases; when all the perks run out, time to sign on for a new car. I don't lease, so I find it a bit annoying that we get shorter times for some of these than our friends in Canada do. But these times are pretty much standard for all cars, it seems. Genesis still has a better power train warranty than most.

I think we'll start to see ads on TV before the cars start to show up. I'd guess we'll see the 4th press release and the TV ads at about the same time. That would seem to make sense from a marketing perspective, getting final word out to the media and to consumers directly at about the same time. But none of this has made obvious sense, so it's really anybody's guess.

Thus far, we've had every reason to believe that various arms of Genesis USA, like the marketing folks and those working out the dealership agreements, haven't exactly been in perfect sync. So these press releases may tell us less about an arrival date than we'd like to believe. Time will tell.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Hm, these press releases were a week apart. Could the fourth come next week... and announce the release date for... September...?
