  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So, I have a 2020 Genesis 2.0T with the 8AI and I'm trying to figure out why it's so slow. AFAIK it’s supposed to do 0-100km in around 6 seconds, but mine consistently takes about 8 seconds. A 2-second difference is huge, which is really weird.

Stock Michelin tires
Using 95 octane fuel
Car is empty (no extra weight)

Thank you for any advice.

The 0-60mph time I've seen for the 2.0T G70 8AT is 6.4sec. G70 6MT is 6.7sec. That is no doubt under ideal conditions, with pavement surface that enable a hard launch. Otherwise, you can easily burn up 1.5sec slipping on launch.

Still though, drag racing a 2.0T is kinda pointless IMO. That is not what the car was meant for.
