2020 G80 3.8l Headlamp Assembly

Just was wondering if anyone has tried swapping their stock 3.8l headlamp assembly with the assembly that is in the 3.3 and 5.0 litre versions. Would love to have the better headlights and turn signals as opposed to the 3.8l V6 HID headlights and incandescent turn signals.

You can try but doubt it will work. Two things. Headlamp assemblies are $$$$ and even if you swap one, you have to program it to attempt to match the car with a Genesis diagnostic tablet. Process is called variant coding.

Should I just go to the nearest Genesis Dealership and see what the tech guys say about this matter then?

A couple of people have done this. The wiring and/or programming are different and they couldn't get all of the features to work. The 2015 also uses the turn signal bulb for the DRLs instead of the LED surround, so you may not have problems with the DRLs on a newer model. There are a couple of threads below with the details:

HID to LED Headlight Conversion

Hey fellas, Decided to order the LED headlights off of the 2018 G80 Sport. Anyone done this, and have installation tips? I took MadCat's earlier tip and ordering the harness/adapter from his source on eBay. Thanks in advance!
