  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Before posting I looked through all the settings in the car and searched on this forum.

So I took possession of my 2022 G70 yesterday and was wondering if there was a setting to stop the mirrors from folding in when you lock the car and a setting to stop the mirrors from angling down when put in reverse. I believe you have that option on the mirror switch on the G80 (Open-Auto-Close). I even had the option on the Sportage but the G70 its a button either open or close.

Thanks in advance.

put the mirror adjustment switch to the centre setting, not to either side. that's for the reverse angle down. to stop the auto fold i'm sure there is a bypass. it may be the same as what i already mentioned or something else. the OM will explain both.

i bypass auto fold by locking the door switch when exiting when i don't want the fold. using the fob or outer button will engage fold when i want it (parking lots, etc).

It is not a switch. Its a button. Either open or close.

Check: Vehicle settings, convenience, welcome mirror, enable on door unlock. Although if you disable this i think the puddle light may also be disabled.
